Odessa College is excited to announce the completion of Phase 1 of its Downtown Campus, a key component of the Vision 2030 initiative. This campus represents a bold step forward in expanding access to higher education, fostering economic growth, and providing modern learning environments for our community.

Phase 2 of the Downtown Campus will serve a wide range of students, offering both academic and workforce development programs that are tailored to the needs of the region. Students will have access to advanced classrooms, specialized labs, and community spaces designed to promote collaboration and hands-on learning. These resources are intended to prepare students for success in today’s rapidly changing job market.

In addition to providing educational opportunities, the Downtown Campus is expected to play a role in revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood. With its proximity to local businesses and cultural landmarks, the campus enhances the vibrancy of downtown Odessa, bringing educational resources directly into the heart of the community.

As part of the Vision 2030 plan, the Downtown Campus is an integral piece of Odessa College’s commitment to increasing educational access and improving community development. By creating a dynamic space for learning and engagement, the campus is positioned to be a focal point for both students and residents alike, contributing to the continued growth and success of Odessa as a whole.

Odessa College celebrated the kickoff of the Odessa College Downtown Project at a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the project on Tuesday, June 28. The two-phase project is located at the corner of Fourth and Jackson streets. Phase one included the creation of a large green space, a covered stage, two performance canopies, an entryway, a splash pad, restrooms and parking for food vendors. Phase II will include a 24,000-square-foot academic building with classrooms and conference rooms for students and entrepreneurs to learn and work.
